_______________

/ Jeff Buckley / This song is off the soundtrack to the film "Bagdad Café",

/ Calling You / originally sung by Jevetta Steele, and it was an instant

/_______________/ classic in Buckley's years, perhaps bigger the film itself.

Jeff Buckley's version of this is only exist in two versions, to my knowledge:

One version from the live album "Live at Sin-é", and one crude demo version.

- STANDARD TUNING

- CAPO 1st FRET, in the studio version, producing the original key of Db major,

and no capo in the live version, producing the key of C major.

GUITAR INTERLUDE

The strumming here is a bit unarticulated, but notice the chord

voicings and the Hendrix-esque fills.

CHORUS

These are the brilliant chord voicings. Buckley strums the notes again

here and there, but these notes are the essential ones.

The notes in parentheses ( ) are cool extra notes.

This part is a bit of a stretch, but you can hear Buckley struggling too.

1. A desert to road from Vegas to nowhere

Some place better than where you've been

A coffee machine that needs some fixing

In a little cafe just around the bend

2. A hot dry wind blows right through me

A baby is crying and I can't sleep

We all know a change is coming

Coming closer, sweet release
